2009 Fall Tournament and Cookout

Cookout to follow the weigh-in!

Where:  Seahag Marina in Steinhatchee.
Members are welcome to come just for the food, and to cheer the weigh-in!

Target:  Big Eight Species
Inshore Division:
    redfish, spotted sea trout, flounder, sheepshead
Offshore Division:
    cobia, grouper, king mackerel, Spanish mackerel

Awards will be presented at the October 27 general meeting.

Registration and Rules
  1. NO ENTRY FEE required! However, all anglers participating in the tournament must be paid GOFC members for 2009, or the immediate family of a paid member. Anglers are encouraged to let the tournament chairman (Mark Rustemier, rustyfish@cox.net) know whether you are planning to fishing.
  2. A preliminary WEATHER forecast will be emailed to participants the Wednesday or Thursday before the tournament. If needed, a cancellation/postponement email will be sent the Friday afternoon before the tournament.
  3. Tournament communication will be on VHF channel 68.
  4. All anglers with fish must be at the weigh in-station between 5:00 and 6:00 PM. NO-EXCEPTIONS! Be sure to check with the weigh-master that they have verified your check-in.
  5. In case of ties (equal fish weights), the fish of the angler checking in first will be given precedence when allocating Ellett points and awards.
