Recently bought a new to me 23′ Key West Bluewater. After a couple of confidence building inshore trips it was time to push it offshore a bit. Worked our way out to 20 miles off of Cedar Key in 43 row. Finally found some grouper and all the grunt you could ever want. Myself along with member Vance Miller and two other friends took home 8 grouper and released a bunch of smaller ones. Also took home way to many grunts. All four of us on the boat were “greenhorns” when it comes to offshore salt water fishing. The spots we caught fish and all the techniques we used were all learned from GOFC seminars or the website.
