Announcing the 2023 GOFC Auction on Friday, November 17th at the Ellett's home in Gainesville Starting at 6:30 PM
What is it?
The GOFC auction and social event is one of the club's highlights for each year. Hosted by Ed and Marcia Ellett at their beautiful home on Payne's Prairie, the auction starts with a low country boil and ends with a raucously entertaining auction of gently used fishing gear, artwork, and other odds and ends. All proceeds from the auction go to the club's general fund and constitute a large portion of the club's event and prize budget for each year.
In addition to the low country boil, Tim and Virgil will be cooking up some clam chowder and grilling hamburgers and hot dogs. The club will also provide sodas and water. Members are asked to bring a side dish or desert to share. Members are also welcome to bring adult beverages of their choice.
Since this event is an important fund raiser for the club, members are asked to bring unwanted or under-utilized tackle and outdoor gear in good condition for donation to the auction. This is a great opportunity to clear out some space in the garage and make room new gear!
Bring the family for an evening of fun, delicious food, and an opportunity to pick up great tackle at a discount while supporting the club!
