Thanks to the generosity of The Best Restoration in Gainesville, The GOFC is having our meeting at their new location at 6933 NW 4th Blvd. This is just off Tower Road NEXT TO the Home Depot.

Speaker format: Elite Anglers of the GOFC
As is our custom the January Meeting will have multiple master and Elite Anglers (these are our anglers who have won the Ellett award 3 times) speaking to how they target the 10 Ellett Contest species throughout the year, working with common seasons and fisheries regulations to attempt to catch as many (or all 10!) of the species that count to the grand yearly prize, the Ellett Award. This is a great way to plan out your fishing year with tactics, techniques, and strategies shared so you don't want to miss it.

We also will be covering the general rules and guidelines to enter fish throughout the year: IMPORTANT NOTE: We are taking Amberjack off the 10 species list until populations and seasons become more favorable. To replace this species, we are adding Mangrove Snapper to the list! Join us as President John Ebbs reviews tactics and strategies for this fun and very good eating fish!

In addition, we will have the scale set up in the back and to certify your hand-held scales for use in measuring your fish. SO don't forget to bring your scale to the meeting!

Awards for the final two 2025 tournaments will be given out, and our goals and aspirations for the 2026 year will be reviewed. We will have a great raffle prize for folks to take a chance on, and door prizes given out just for attending.
