Hogfish Shootout?

During the club’s recent Sheepshead Shootout, we lucked out in finding a pair of keeper hogfish snapper. The first one was caught by John (noted in this photo). I believe John wanted to ensure Ken’s longing gaze was captured in the photo, so we were sure to get his boat in the shot as well.

UF and the FWC need your help!

With the help of UF, the FWC is offering a $100 reward for those who catch and report tagged trout in the Cedar Key area; please see details in image below.

Captain Steve Novakovich, Homer, AK

Bob Hudson’s Alaska buddy and charter captain, Captain Steve Novakovich, loves to come to Cedar Key every year for some airboat fishing. I was pleased to be able to put him on some nice fish.

Trout on the fly

Heading to the flats, we were concerned that the high 50 degree water had sent all the trout into their winter holes… well, not this one school of confused trout (who were willing to bite on the fly!) Morgan showed off her skills and brought in around 4 trout.

Good red fishing day

Paul Dietrich and I had an incredible red fishing day in the airboat. W slammed these upper slot fish plus 48 more that we released.
