The Fall Tournament has been rescheduled for 10/4/2014 with a new location

Last weekend saw a significant inshore fish kill both north and south of the river mouth at Steinhatchee. With this in mind the tournament will be held out of Crystal River, which to date has not been affected by the red tide.

Start at first safe light and weigh-in from 5-6:00 pm next to ramp at Fort Island Trail

 

AWARDS

Master Angler ($200)

Top Offshore Angler ($100)

Top Inshore Angler ($100)

Top Youth Angler ($100)

Master Angler is determined by the highest Ellett Point total with no requirement to enter fish in both offshore and inshore categories.  Interpretation of the tournament rules shall be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Chairman.

 

GOFC MEMBERS – FREE

Non-Members Fishing from a Member’s Boat* – $20

* Non-members must be registered by GOFC member no later than 9:00 pm the night before the tournament

 

All contestants must have a valid Florida Fishing License.

All fish brought to the scale must be of legal size and in season.

GOFC communications are on VHF channel 68

WEATHER: The GO or NO GO decision will be posted on the GOFC website (www.gofc.us) at approximately 6:00PM on the day before the tournament. The maximum conditions under which this event will be held are 2 to 3 foot seas.
