Redfish/Trout Roundup – DELAYED UNTIL SUNDAY
A GOFC MEMBERS-ONLY TOURNAMENT — Participating anglers must be GOFC members in good standing at the time of the tournament (family included) and must have individually caught the entered fish. Guests may ride in GOFC boats, but cannot submit or share their fish. All contestants must have a valid Florida Fishing License and may fish anywhere in the Club waters as long as the fish are brought to the weigh-in on time. Please check regulations for target species. Interpretation of the tournament rules shall be at the sole discretion of the Tournament Chairman.
Prior to start, the Tournament Committee must be provided with boat name, size and make, captain’s name and name of all anglers (and any guests) on board, indicating if any lady or youth anglers on board are participating. Sign up online in advance (by 6:00 pm the evening before the tournament.)
Start at “safe light” on the day of tournament from any Club waters port. GOFC communications are on VHF channel 68. Safe light is 6:30 AM. Boaters should exercise caution if low light, poor visibility and poor weather conditions.
Prizes will be awarded based on weight of GOFC target species.
- Heaviest Redfish: $100; 2nd Place Redfish = $50; 3rd Place Redfish = $25
- Heaviest Sea Trout = $100; 2nd Place Sea Trout = $50; 3rd Place Sea Trout = $25. An individual angler can win one award in each of these 2 inshore categories.
- Youth (Under 16) Category:
Heaviest Redfish = gift certificate; Heaviest Sea Trout = gift certificate. Youth must be registered GOFC family members to enter in this category.
For this Tournament, GOFC will not be providing food or drinks. We encourage staying to enjoy each other.
The GO or NO GO decision will be sent out by email and posted on the GOFC website (williamh68.sg-host.com/) by approximately 6:00 PM on the day before the tournament.
ALL ANGLERS AND PASSENGERS SHALL PARTICIPATE AT THEIR OWN RISK AND HAVE A CURRENT WAIVER OF LIABILITY ON FILE WITH THE GOFC.
