The below is a list of all potential awards (given out at the yearly Awards Banquet) that potential members can win.
Largest Fish: First place awarded (adult and youth) for the largest fish in each of the Big Ten category. This award consists of a plaque. Second and third places are announced at the awards banquet but do not receive an award.

Note: Youth Category: Anglers are considered a youth for contest purposes through the calendar year they turn 15.
Outstanding Angler: Each angler (adult and youth) who enters one of each of the Big Ten species. This award consists of a plaque.
Top Inshore Angler Award: The members with the highest point total for the inshore fish category for the year will receive this award. The inshore fish category consists of trout, redfish, flounder, sheepshead and bluefish. This award consists of a plaque.
Top Offshore Angler Award: The members with the highest point total for the offshore fish category for the year will receive this award. The offshore fish category is composed of grouper, king mackerel, cobia, Spanish mackerel and amberjack. This award consists of a plaque.
The John Ellett Award: The three men, three women and three youth anglers with the highest point totals for the year are awarded first, second and third place in the John Ellett Contest. In order to be eligible to win the Ellett Award at least 5 of the 10 species must have been entered by a contestant. First Place receives a large plaque. Second and third place awards consist of smaller plaques. First place men’s and women’s winners also receive a self-selected prize costing the club up to $400.
GOFC Elite Angler Award: Once a member wins the Ellett Contest three times they are no longer eligible to win this prize and are designated a GOFC Elite Angler. An award for the GOFC Elite Angler of the Year who earns the most Ellett Points in a year is awarded to the top man and woman Elite Angler. This award consists of a plaque.
The John Patrick Youth Award: This goes to the youth with the most species entered in one year; in the case of a tie, Ellett points will be used to break the tie. This award can only be received once.
The Dave Abril Youth Kingfish Award: A large trophy is awarded to the youth who entered the largest king mackerel for the year. This award consists of a large trophy.
