CR/Ozello Snook on Gold Spoon

What an amazing day it was for some fishing out of Ozello North just south of Crystal River. After hitting the backwater islands sight and missing some nice reds, I headed out toward an open flat just inside of Mullet Key. Backwater Slot Snook!

There is no better way to end the day than to land a slot Snook fish! It was a hot Friday, but the Ozello waterways were gorgeous, and the fishing pressure was very low. So close…..

Pleasant surprise to catch/release 26” Snook. Two inches shy of 28” minimum. Hard fighting fish – great to see them in our area!

I’ve caught three Snook in my life, and, this one eclipsed the size of the other two on a quantum basis. Great to join the more and more prevalent stories […] Continue Reading

Marrio’s Big Snook in the Big Bend

I caught this 35″ snook on a recent trip to Yankeetown while my clients were having lunch. We went 4 for 7 with one double hook up on snook.
